The first feature-length Yugoslav film after World War II, specifically a Soviet-Yugoslav film about the partisan struggle. It was shot at various locations, including the Kvarner Hotel in Opatija. It was also possibly filmed in the Kastav area, in which director Abram Room showed interest during his stay in Opatija. Following the Tito–Stalin split, the film was hidden from public view. It was produced by Mosfilm, based on a screenplay by Georgi Mdivani.
