Rijeka Airport is open for traffic since 1970. It is registered for the reception, shipping, passengers traveling, as well as flight crew training. The airport is equipped to accommodate all the sizes of the aircraft, uplift and downhill track is 2488 m long and 45 m wide. The platform size is 300 × 115 meters and it can accept 5 aircraft at the same time. Location is about one kilometer east of the town Omišalj.
