Unije is the westernmost Croatian island permanently inhabited. It belongs to the archipelago between the islands of Cres and Lošinj. The island has only one settlement on a gentle slope next to the largest bay on the western part of the island, which is low and easily accessible. The island can be reached both by a ferry and a catamaran.
