Kantrida Swimming Pools

Categories: Architecture, City of Rijeka, Seaside

Kantrida swimming pools belong to a complex that opened doors for sports, recreation and entertainment in 2008. The complex was fully developed in 2011. Five differently sized swimming pools are a result of reconstruction works and an addition of a large swimming pool next to the sea. Apart from swimming pools, the complex accommodates additional programs that make the Kantrida Swimming Pools an attractive place for recreation. The Kantrida Swimming Pools comprise the Olympic-size pool no. 1 (indoor swimming pool) with a very unique power-operated roof, fully reconstructed Olympic-size pool no. 2 (outdoor swimming pool), 25 m pool, children’s swimming pool and a diving swimming pool.
