The 1954 West German-Yugoslav romantic musical comedy "Sunce nad Jadranom" was directed by German filmmaker and screenwriter Karl Georg Külb. The feature is part of the immensely popular wave of postwar German musical comedies centered on travel and summer tourism across southern Europe's sun-drenched destinations. Brought to life through a co-production between Berlin Film and Zagreb-based Jadran Film, the movie features scenic on-location sequences captured in Opatija, Volosko, Mošćenička Draga, and Zagreb.
