Srebrne is an intense portrait of Bolivian women living in destitution within a mining community near the city of Potosí. Filmed over the course of a month in 2014, the documentary explores the women's vital economic contributions to the mines while simultaneously addressing their marginalization and stigmatization within Andean culture. Director Barbara Babačić raises critical questions regarding the heavy economic burdens these women bear, exploring the deeply rooted cultural norms that render them invisible to society.
