The 1968 mini-series "Odiseja", directed by Franco Rossi, is a faithful adaptation of Homer's epic poem, starring Bekim Fehmiu in the lead role. The plot begins after the end of the Trojan War, as the Greek hero and King of Ithaca, Odysseus, attempts to return home. This eight-part, one-hour episode series was a major international project by the production companies RAI and Jadran Film, with a large part of the series filmed on the coast and islands of the Adriatic Sea in Croatia.
