"Smogovci" (1982–1997) is a cult Croatian children's comedy-drama series consisting of 38 half-hour episodes, based on the novels by Hrvoje Hitrec and produced by TV Zagreb. Set in the Zagreb neighborhood of Peščenica (the Naselak suburb), the plot follows the upbringing of the six Vragec brothers - Dragec, Pero, Mazalo, Cobra, Štefek, and Buco - who attempt to organize their lives and provide for themselves after their mother leaves to work in Germany and their father passes away. It was filmed on location in Zagreb and, to a lesser extent, in the Gorski Kotar region.
