Pola stoljeća diska
Zvonimir Rumboldt, 2015.
Categories: Documentary
Filmed in Jelsa, Opatija, Rijeka, Split, Zagreb, and Paris with the participation of around fifty interviewees—and featuring archival footage, period photographs and documents, as well as contemporary shots of the locations—this film brings to life the pioneering era of disco fever in Croatia. Husar, Amfora, Club 57, Arkada, Semafor, Saloon... what did these names mean back then, and what do they tell us today? What makes a club a true disco? What was the significance of these venues? What were their positive and negative impacts on society? This film answers these and many other questions through conversations with the key figures of that time.
