"Rječina - od izvora do mora" follows a group of local and foreign kayakers on a journey of discovering and exploring new sections of the Rječina River for paddling and rediscovering its beauty. Rječina is the river after which the city of Rijeka was named. Once a mighty river that shaped the city's history and industry, today it is forgotten and frequently dries up due to human interventions in its riverbed. While chasing rare moments after heavy rains when the Rječina flows, their journey becomes a reflection of nature's resilience and a reflection of the consequences of neglecting our rivers. This adventure documentary is not only a thrilling story about exploring rapids, but also a personal call to preserve and restore one of the most unique and neglected rivers in Croatia.
