Novi film Bernardina Modrića prati jedan od najvećih, a medijski slabo poznatih zločina u Domovinskom ratu koji se dogodio 13. listopada 1991. godine u ličkom selu Široka Kula nedaleko Gospića. Kulminacija je to višemjesečnog maltretiranja širokokulskih Hrvata od strane njihovih susjeda srpske nacionalnosti. Broj žrtva u Širokoj Kuli zaustavljen je na brojci 33, a posmrtni ostaci 9 osoba još nisu pronađeni. Za počinjene zločine do danas još nitko nije odgovarao.
