Film 'Kazalište, po riječki' oslikava zgradu riječkog kazališta kroz vrijeme, od priprema za izgradnju do priprema za obnovu, te kroz prostor, od dijelova zgrade koji se nalaze ispod razine mora, do šufita i prepoznatljivog bakrenog krova. Film otkriva građanima nevidljive dijelove Talijinog hrama na Rječini, pripovijeda priču o djedu Adamiću i unuku Ciotti koji grade riječka kazališta, opisuje komplikacije oko otvaranja zgrade kazališta 3. listopada 1885., prenosi atmosferu oslobođenja grada 1945., progovara o obnovi iz sedamdesetih godina prošlog stoljeća i najavljuje nove izazove ove impozantne zgrade.
