Goli

Tiha K. Gudac, 2014.

Categories: Documentary

The film Goli is an exploration into the ruins of the past, a mosaic crafted from traces - family photographs and intimate testimonies of a close-knit group of people united by the same location: the Goli Otok political camp, also known as the "Island of Broken Souls," and the consequences it left across three generations. At the same time, it is a fascinating portrayal of the moment when a past can finally become history, and a courageous documentary confrontation against silence and fear. The film won the Heart of Sarajevo award for Best Documentary Film.
