Project REEL: Cross-Border Training – Open Call CLOSED!
Within the framework of the REEL Project — A Cinematic Journey through Italy and Croatia, funded by the INTERREG Italy-Croatia Cross-Border Cooperation Programme 2021-2027 — Art-kino (Kvarner Film Commission) launched an open call to select aspiring or early-career location scouting operators for a cross-border training course that will take place in Rijeka from 18 to 22 February 2026.
The call is officially closed, and a total of 70 applications from young film professionals were received. The evaluation process is now underway, and selected participants will be informed in due course.
The aim is to select 12 participants — future or early-career location managers, filmmakers, creative professionals, or employees in the tourism sector — who are motivated to develop their skills in location scouting within the audiovisual and creative industries.
Selected participants, with travel and accommodation costs covered, will take part in field exercises, interactive workshops, and collaborative creative work, gaining the opportunity to build professional portfolios and cross-border networks in a real learning environment.
